Bafang error 27: Controller overcurrent

What it means

Too much current has flowed through the controller, so it has shut off assist to protect itself.

Likely causes

• Controller software problem
• Controller fault

Symptoms

• Code 27 shows
• Assist cuts out

How to fix it

1. Switch the bike off, wait 10 seconds and switch it on again.
2. Your dealer can update the controller software with the Bafang BESST tool or replace the controller.
