Bafang error 26: Torque sensor speed signal fault

What it means

The torque sensor is not reporting pedalling speed correctly, so assist may stop.

Likely causes

• Loose connection
• Display or software problem
• Faulty torque sensor

Symptoms

• Code 26 shows
• No or uneven assist

How to fix it

1. Switch the bike off, wait 10 seconds and switch it on again.
2. Check connections you can see.
3. If the code stays, your dealer can test it with the Bafang BESST tool, try another display or replace the sensor.
