Ride with caution. You can pedal without assist; do not keep trying to use the motor.
What it means
The controller has seen a battery voltage that is too high and has switched off assist to protect itself. It can be a battery or controller problem.
Likely causes
- Battery not seated correctly
- Wrong or faulty battery
- Controller software problem
Symptoms
- Code 07 shows
- No motor assist
How to fix it
- Switch off, take the battery out and put it back in firmly.
- Switch the bike off, wait 10 seconds and switch it on again.
- Only use the battery and charger supplied for your bike.
- If the code stays, your dealer can update the controller software (Bafang BESST tool) or check the battery.

Get it checked before relying on the motor again.
