What it means
The motor has got too hot, often after a long climb, and the system cuts power to protect it. Bafang says to stop and let it rest.

- Long or steep climb
- Heavy load in high assist
- Hot weather
Symptoms
- Code 10 shows
- Assist reduced or cut off
How to fix it
- Stop and switch the system off.
- Let the bike cool down for a while.
- Use a lower assist level and an easier gear on long climbs.
- If the code shows when the motor is cool, take the bike to your dealer.
