Giant (SyncDrive / RideControl) error ENERGYPAK-ERROR: EnergyPak error

Ride with caution. Usually rideable, but get the battery checked.

What it means

RideControl EVO shows 'SYSTEM MESSAGE' then 'EnergyPak error' and 'Your E-bike needs servicing'. Assist continues unless the battery is empty.

  • Battery fault or poor connection

How to fix it

  1. Note which indicator is blinking (or the message shown).
  2. Switch the system off.
  3. Look for an obvious cause, such as a battery not fully clicked in.
  4. Fix it only if you can do so safely, then switch the system back on.
  5. If it is fixed, carry on and book a service check with a Giant dealer.
  6. If the issue keeps returning, stop riding and contact an authorised Giant dealer.
