Generic / Chinese displays error 01_info: Throttle fault

What it means

Shown as a flashing '01 info'. The throttle signal is not normal, so the throttle may be disabled. The code clears once the fault is removed.

Likely causes

• Throttle connector loose or wet
• Damaged throttle or cable
• Throttle held open at switch-on

Symptoms

• 01 info flashes
• Throttle does not work

How to fix it

1. Switch off straight away if the motor pulls on its own.
2. Check the throttle springs back freely and its connector is pushed home.
3. Switch the bike off, wait 10 seconds and switch it on again.
4. If the code stays, take the bike to your dealer or an e-bike repair shop.
