Generic / Chinese displays error 04_info: Torque sensor signal fault

What it means

The sensor that measures pedal force is not sending a correct signal, so pedal assist may not work.

Likely causes

• Loose torque sensor connector
• Faulty sensor

Symptoms

• 04 info flashes
• No or weak pedal assist

How to fix it

1. Check the torque sensor connector.
2. Switch the bike off, wait 10 seconds and switch it on again.
3. If the code stays, take the bike to your dealer or an e-bike repair shop.
