Rad Power Bikes error 15: Torque sensor error

What it means

The controller is getting no signal or a bad signal from the pedal torque sensor, so pedal assist cannot work properly. This does not apply to models without a torque sensor (for example RadKick 7-Speed).

Likely causes

• Loose or wet torque sensor connector
• Damaged sensor cable
• Faulty torque sensor

Symptoms

• Error 15
• Pedal assist missing or erratic

How to fix it

1. Turn the bike off and remove the battery.
2. Unplug the torque sensor connector at the controller and check for damage or moisture.
3. Plug it back in firmly and turn the bike on.
4. Use Rad's Error 30 / connector check guide for your model to find the cable.
5. If the error stays, contact Rad Power Bikes support.
