What it means

The controller has found a short circuit and has stopped the motor to protect the system.

Likely causes

• Damaged motor cable
• Water in connectors
• Motor or controller fault

Symptoms

• 06 info flashes
• No assist
• Motor may feel stiff

How to fix it

1. Switch off and stop using assist.
2. Check for damaged or melted cables or a burning smell; if you find any, do not switch on again.
3. Do not open the motor, controller or battery.
4. Take the bike to a repair shop.
