Bosch error 414: Operating unit connection problem

What it means

The handlebar operating unit (the +/- remote) has a connection problem. The display cannot talk to it reliably.

Likely causes

• Loose or damaged plug or cable at the operating unit
• Dirt or moisture in the connector

Symptoms

• Code 414 on the display
• Assist level cannot be changed

How to fix it

1. Switch the eBike system off, wait a few seconds, then switch it on again.
2. Look for an obviously damaged or pulled cable at the handlebar remote.
3. Ask your Bosch eBike dealer to check the plugs and cables. Do not open any component yourself.
