VanMoof error 44: E-shifter communication

What it means

Error 44 can mean the bike cannot communicate with the e-shifter, or the e-shifter cable is not connected properly. The code shows on the bike's matrix display.

How to fix it

1. Make sure the bike has the latest firmware (VanMoof app).
2. Reset the bike.
3. Do a system restart (see VanMoof's 'How to System Restart' guide).
4. If the error stays, take the bike to a VanMoof Partner for diagnosis and repair.
