What it means
The controller has got too hot and has cut power to protect itself.
Likely causes
- Long climb or heavy load
- Hot weather
Symptoms
- Code 14 shows
- Assist reduced or cut off
How to fix it
- Stop, switch off and let the bike cool down.
- Switch the bike off, wait 10 seconds and switch it on again.
- If the code comes back, take the bike to your dealer or a Bafang service centre.
How urgent is it?
Normal protection unless it happens when cool.
