Aventon error E25: Brake error

Stop riding. Do not ride with assist until the brake cut-off works; check the brakes stop the bike.
What it means
The brake sensors cut the motor when you brake. This code often appears if a brake lever was squeezed while the bike was switched on; otherwise a sensor may not be working.
Likely causes
- Brake lever squeezed during start-up
- Faulty or misaligned brake sensor
Symptoms
- E25 on the display
- No assist
How to fix it
- Turn the bike off and on again without touching the brakes.
- Check the brakes work normally by hand.
- If it stays, unplug both brake sensors, then plug in one at a time and switch on to find which side brings E25 back.
- Contact Aventon support and tell them which side is faulty and the brake lever brand.

Fix before riding with motor assist.
