Lectric eBikes display setting

P08: Speed limit / class

Assisted top speed in km/h.

What it does

Sets the assisted top speed (value is in km/h). 16 = Passenger Mode (10 mph), 32 = Class 2 (20 mph, default), 100 = Class 3 (28 mph pedal assist; throttle still limited to 20 mph). If you change class, Lectric requires you to show the matching class label on the frame.

Typical values

  • 16: Passenger Mode
  • 32: Class 2 (default)
  • 100: Class 3

Before you change it

  • Legal: US e-bike classes are Class 1/2 (assist to 20 mph) and Class 3 (assist to 28 mph, throttle limited). EU/UK/AU/NZ pedelecs are limited to 25 km/h assist and 250 W. Raising the limit above what your local law allows can make the bike illegal on roads, paths and trails and can void your warranty and insurance.
  • Lectric warns: always check local laws before increasing top speed.
