What it means
The controller cannot read the motor position sensors. The code is shown as a number on the display.
Likely causes
- Loose motor connector
- Damaged cable
- Faulty sensor
Symptoms
- 08 shows
- No assist
How to fix it
- With the bike switched off, check the connectors between the display, controller and motor are clean, dry and pushed fully home.
- Do not open the motor.
- If the code stays, take the bike to your dealer or an e-bike repair shop.
