Ride with caution. No assist; the bike is safe to pedal.
What it means
A communication fault between the controller and display. Usually a loose, dirty or damaged connector.
Likely causes
- Loose or unplugged display cable
- Grit or damage in connectors
Symptoms
- E30, E1 or E on the display
- No assist
How to fix it
- Turn the bike off.
- Check all connections between display and controller are plugged in, clean and undamaged.
- Connectors are colour-coded: line up the arrows and push firmly together.
- If the code stays, contact Aventon support.
